It doesn’t matter where you are coming from or where you’d like to go in Somerset County, there is a way to get there! The official headquarters of Somerset County Tourism and the Official County Visitor Center are in the Chamber of Commerce building, located at 360 Grove Street Route 22 East in Bridgewater, NJ. Feel free to come by if you need info, maps or directions to Somerset County attractions and fun things to do. We’re open Monday to Friday from 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.

Air Travel in Somerset County

If you need to get to the airport, Newark International Airport is thirty-five miles from Somerville – just jump in the car and go if you have to! Newark Liberty International Airport provides many different amenities to make flights easier for their passengers. Services like flight tracker, security wait times, taxi weight times, parking availability, estimated walk times to gates and connecting flights help passengers get where they need to go fast and easily. The airport is owned jointly by the towns of Newark and Elizabeth, and the property straddles those lines. Over forty-five million passengers traveled in 2018! If you need some in-house travel services, AAA Mid-Atlantic is located in North Plainfield.

Bus Travel in Somerset County

Buses, courtesy of New Jersey Transit, go from Port Authority in New York to Watching, Somerville, North Plainfield, Montgomery, Bridgewater, Branchburg, and Bound Brook in Somerset County. The New Jersey Transit website offers many services to help you get around New jersey and Somerset County. Take advantage of a trip planner extension that helps you with information on putting a trip together in New Jersey, similar to the directions tool on Google Maps. There’s other information regarding train schedules and fares, point to point bus schedules, light rail schedules, real time status on buses and trains, and other services nearby.

Car Travel In Somerset County

There are many roads in New Jersey, and all of them can lead to Somerset County if you’d like them to do so! Use your own vehicle or rent a car from Budget or Enterprise in Somerville  and Hertz Car Rentals in Bridgewater. There are three taxi services in Somerset – Raritan Valley Taxi, American Taxi Services and Allstar Sky-View Taxi. If none of these float your boat you can always use Lyft or Uber to get around. Who doesn’t use Lyft or Uber to get around these days? Towing service is provided by Somerset Hills Towing, and if you need some carting around VIP style, call 78 Chauffeured Services or XP Limo.

Train Travel in Somerset County.

Trains run by New Jersey Transit come from Penn Station in New York and service the towns of Basking Ridge, Bernardsville, Bound Brook, Bridgewater, Far Hills, Gladstone, Peapack, Raritan and Somerville.
